Role Overview
Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is looking for a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to join its forward-thinking Longevity Medicine Program within the Division of General Internal Medicine. This role offers the chance to contribute to a growing and innovative field centered on longevity medicine, while also supporting executive health services.
The physician will provide personalized, comprehensive care designed to improve healthspan, reduce the risk of chronic illness, and deliver a highly patient-focused experience. The position calls for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a high-touch care setting with a varied patient population.
Key Contributions
- Deliver care that emphasizes prevention, wellness, and longevity-focused health optimization.
- Partner with multidisciplinary Mayo Clinic teams to incorporate advanced diagnostics and treatment approaches.
- Help shape new care models within the longevity medicine program.
- Take part in research, teaching, and scholarly work when possible.
- Contribute in an academically oriented environment with strong institutional backing.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should hold an MD or DO and have board certification in Internal Medicine. The role also calls for strong clinical judgment, especially in preventive care, population health, or management of complex chronic conditions.
Experience or interest in longevity medicine, health optimization, and newer models of care is important. Strong communication skills, effective interpersonal abilities, and a track record of working well in multidisciplinary teams are also needed. Prior involvement in teaching or research is preferred.
Schedule and Job Details
This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits eligibility. The standard schedule is as assigned, with 80 hours per pay period. International assignment status is not applicable.
