Position Overview
The company is seeking a Logistics Support Specialist to join its Logistics team. This role supports Logistics Coordinators by managing domestic inbound freight bookings and data entry within the company’s Transportation Management System (TMS). Ideal candidates are eager to engage with the dynamic logistics and supply chain sector and aspire to professional growth within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with freight carriers.
- Arrange and book shipping loads for domestic inbound freight.
- Coordinate and schedule delivery timelines.
- Accurately input and maintain shipment data within the Interco TMS.
- Track order progress, follow up as necessary, and update related documentation.
- Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent communication.
- Assist with additional logistics tasks as assigned by senior team members.
Candidate Profile
- Previous logistics experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; openness to learning new software tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and maintain detail orientation.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Educational background in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent applicable experience is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range of $50,000 to $60,000, dependent on expertise and qualifications.
