Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist

About the Role

OVO Farm is seeking a highly analytical and execution-driven Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist to oversee and enhance our transportation and distribution operations. This role demands strong expertise in managing third-party logistics (3PL), route scheduling, fleet management, long-distance transportation, and last-mile delivery execution to guarantee efficient and reliable product movement across India, particularly for perishable and time-sensitive items.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee complete logistics processes, including inbound, outbound, and inter-warehouse transport.
• Liaise with 3PL partners, carriers, warehouse teams, and distribution units to ensure operational excellence.
• Optimize route planning and delivery to maximize fleet utilization, minimize freight expenses, and boost on-time delivery rates.
• Monitor and enhance both long-haul and last-mile delivery networks.
• Evaluate logistics key performance indicators such as freight costs, delivery timelines, inventory fill rates, transit losses, and service standards.
• Identify opportunities to optimize the logistics network and implement strategic data-driven improvements.
• Handle transportation planning across modern trade, general trade, quick commerce, and e-commerce channels.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools to monitor performance and inform decision-making.
• Address logistics challenges and foster ongoing process enhancement.
• Ensure adherence to transportation, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
• Proven record working effectively with 3PLs and transportation vendors.
• Strong capabilities in route planning, network optimization, and delivery scheduling.
• Excellent analytical acumen with high proficiency in Excel and logistics analytics tools.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and logistics dashboards is desirable.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing distribution of perishable goods, including food, dairy, poultry, fresh produce, and cold chain products.
• Knowledge of pan-India transportation systems.
• Expertise handling logistics for quick commerce and e-commerce fulfillment.
