Job Overview
Taif Al Emarat is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their factory operations in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. This role focuses on overseeing and optimizing logistics functions for a leading luxury fragrance brand, ensuring efficient management of shipments, inventory, and regulatory compliance across domestic and international operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee coordination and management of both domestic and international shipments, ensuring delivery is timely and cost-efficient.
- Manage import and export activities, including customs clearance processes, shipping documentation, and adherence to regulations.
- Monitor warehouse inventory movements and maintain precise stock records.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Production, Sales, and Warehouse teams to guarantee product availability and consistent supply flow.
- Engage with freight forwarders, shipping companies, customs brokers, and relevant government bodies.
- Track shipment statuses and swiftly address logistics-related issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics, produce detailed reports, and oversee Key Performance Indicators.
- Identify and implement cost-optimization opportunities in transportation, warehousing, and distribution without compromising service standards.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and UAE/GCC trade and logistics regulations.
- Leverage ERP and Warehouse Management Systems to maintain accurate data and streamline logistic workflows.
- Support initiatives aimed at continual improvement of supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the perfume, cosmetics, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping in the UAE and GCC region.
- Experience with inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills and negotiation experience with suppliers and logistics service providers.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
