Job Summary
The Mortgage Post Closing Specialist role entails managing the review of all trailing documents, delivering loan files to investors, and ensuring prompt clearance of investor conditions to facilitate smooth loan sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee incoming trailing documents and maintain precise records of loan file statuses and progress.
- Execute data entry and generate reports through the Loan Origination System.
- Conduct weekly follow-ups with settlement agencies and attorneys to resolve missing or pending documentation.
- Develop and sustain deep knowledge of mortgage loan documentation needed to resolve post-closing issues, such as trailing documents, recorded security instruments, and final title policies.
- Collaborate with investors and internal teams to rectify defects found in mortgage/Deed of Trust or Final Title Policy documents.
- Perform audits and shipment of closed loan files to investors.
- Respond promptly to suspense conditions identified by investors.
- Carry out additional assigned duties as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in mortgage operations.
- Experience in loan processing or underwriting is preferred.
- Proficiency with loan documentation and title work is essential.
- Familiarity with Encompass, DU, and LP software is advantageous.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain high accuracy within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $45,000 to $66,000, set based on experience, skills, and company needs. This range may vary based on location adjustments.
