Role Overview

Based at the HMAS Stirling facility on Meandup land, you will play a crucial part in our Explosive Ordnance Services team, supporting the Australian Defence Force by managing storage, distribution, maintenance, and disposal of ordnance systems across Australia. This position offers a comprehensive understanding of operations and significant opportunities for career advancement, with many team members progressing to leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Label and organize inventory within stock and prepare shipments for dispatch.
• Support the transfer of inventory by road and within the depot premises.
• Track inventory expiration dates, assist in regular audits and inspections.
• Utilize information systems to log and access inventory data.
• Maintain vigilance on health and safety standards, actively contributing to a safe work environment.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid full driver's license.
• Excellent customer service capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail complemented by good numeric, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience in warehousing and/or Defence environments is advantageous.

Additional Information and Requirements

• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment police checks and, depending on position requirements, medical examinations.
• A Defence security clearance is mandatory; applicants must be Australian citizens eligible to obtain and maintain the clearance.
• Clearance information is accessible via the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
• Recognition of foreign government security clearances may be possible; adherence to the Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is required, and nationality may influence eligibility.
