Overview

BEC Arabia invites applications for the position of Logistics - Administrative Officer in Riyadh, offering an essential role in supporting logistics operations for one of Saudi Arabia's leading construction and engineering companies. The position provides an opportunity to contribute to prominent mega-projects while developing a career in an energetic, fast-evolving environment.

Role Summary

As a key member of the Logistics Department, you will oversee the administrative and operational aspects crucial for the efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and workforce across various construction and infrastructure projects, including commercial buildings and government initiatives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Key Duties

  • Manage logistics to guarantee punctual delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Keep detailed and compliant records of shipments, inventory, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight companies, and customs to resolve logistics challenges.
  • Track shipments actively to ensure timely arrivals and handle any delays.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and other logistics-related administrative paperwork.
  • Ensure adherence to Saudi Labor Law, GOSI, and Saudization (Nitaqat) regulations.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling transport routes for optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Prepare logistics reports and performance metrics for management oversight.
  • Support implementation of safety and quality standards in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum three years' relevant experience, preferably in construction or engineering logistics or administration.
  • Knowledgeable in logistics management platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Solid understanding of Saudi Labor Law, GOSI contributions, and Nitaqat compliance.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel and Word.
  • Fluent English communication skills; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in logistics/supply chain management like CLTD or CSCP.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects or within the GCC region.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Vision 2030's influence on logistics and infrastructure development.
  • Advanced skills in logistics analytics and reporting tools.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based in Riyadh with periodic site visits.
  • Standard working hours with some flexibility for urgent logistics matters.
  • Coordination with international vendors across different time zones.
  • Compliance with safety protocols including use of PPE on construction sites.
