About the Role
Salt of the Earth is launching a live shopping show for TikTok Shop in Miami and seeks a Livestream Producer / Operator. This role involves more than simply recording video; you'll actively operate broadcasts, interact with the on-camera host, and act as an engaging off-camera voice during the show. Your duties will include overseeing audience interactions, managing TikTok Shop features, and ensuring a seamless, commercially effective stream.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct live TikTok Shop broadcasts lasting two to three hours.
- Monitor live chat and transform viewer comments into natural prompts for the host.
- Act as an engaging, off-camera conversational partner to the host.
- Manage pinned products, promotional offers, coupons, giveaways, and control show timing.
- Cue segments such as product demos and scripted talking points.
- Oversee technical aspects like audio, lighting, framing, connectivity, and streaming health.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges swiftly without disrupting viewers.
- Assist the host in maintaining energy and avoiding downtime.
- Analyze session performance to identify segments driving clicks and sales.
- Convert livestream highlights into ideas for short-form social content.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in livestream production, TikTok Shop, broadcast operations, Twitch, podcasting, live events, retail sales or social content creation.
- Technically proficient yet comfortable speaking on-air.
- Quick-thinking and conversational with ability to foster playful chemistry with the host.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage show flow and adapt in real-time.
- Composure under technical or audience-related issues.
- Familiarity with TikTok LIVE, TikTok Shop, OBS, LIVE Studio, or similar streaming technologies.
- Reliable and available to work on-site in Miami.
- Experience directly with TikTok Shop is highly desirable; bilingual or Spanish language skills are advantageous.
- Comfort working with wellness products and adhering to approved claims.
Compensation and Hiring Process
- Paid two-week pilot with approximately eight streams of two hours each, plus rehearsals and training.
- Hourly pay range from $35 to $55 based on experience.
- Additional performance-based incentives agreed upon mutually.
- Paid audition and chemistry test with hosts before selection.
