Position Summary

The Liquidity Specialist will focus on positioning BNP Paribas prominently as a leader in liquidity expertise within the Irish Corporate and Aviation markets. The role involves advising clients referred by Coverage Bankers and ensuring the delivery of tailored liquidity and investment solutions that meet volume, duration, quality, and profitability targets. This position also supports the Cash Management team in optimizing liquidity offers and contributes to achieving EMEA deposit objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Cash Management Sales and Coverage teams by providing consultative, product-neutral guidance on liquidity and short-term investment strategies, including cash pooling techniques and investment advisory for surplus funds.
  • Support commercialization and pricing strategies for Notional Pool products in Ireland, ensuring ongoing monitoring and conducting regular health checks.
  • Assess suitability of Notional and Physical Cash Pools for clients prior to marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as an internal expert and trainer for Distribution and Coverage teams.
  • Drive deposit volumes, focusing on quality and profitability, while seeking cross-selling opportunities across Transactional Banking.
  • Promote BNP Paribas's electronic channels as part of client solutions.
  • Manage a client portfolio assigned by Coverage, maintaining up-to-date pipelines with adherence to LIS quality and regional incentive guidelines.
  • Raise and resolve client issues related to execution or contract negotiations in coordination with internal teams.
  • Support sales efforts with expertise in Sight and Term products and contribute to client meeting preparations.
  • Work closely with the wider LIS team and global counterparts to relay market intelligence and client feedback, enabling future product developments.
  • Attend relevant industry conferences and networking events representing BNP Paribas and gathering market insights.
  • Provide sales support during high activity periods including deposit booking and Extreme Risk Scenarios.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • CFA certification preferred.
  • Experience in client-facing sales or relationship management roles.
  • Strong understanding of Cash Management, Working Capital Management, and Corporate Treasury functions.
  • Exposure to Corporate Liquidity Management business lines.
  • In-depth knowledge of Notional Cash Pool structures, pricing, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Bank Treasury and Asset-Liability Management functions through past interactions.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income investment products is advantageous.
  • Highly relationship-oriented with a polished, proactive demeanor capable of influencing diverse client-facing stakeholders.
