About the Role

Based in Avondale, Auckland, this full-time permanent role with Schindler Group involves servicing and maintaining lifts and escalators, primarily within the Auckland area. You will join the Existing Installation and Maintenance team and work to enhance customer experiences by ensuring functionality and safety of vertical transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on lifts and escalators.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities related to Schindler's service and repair offerings.
  • Support the regional team with technical training and expertise.
  • Drive safety and quality initiatives within daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the Sales department on site surveys and customer visits for technical support.

Candidate Profile

  • At least three years’ experience as a Lift Service or Lift Repairs Technician, or holding an NZQF Level 4 qualification (Trade Certificate or Diploma) in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
  • Registered or licensed as an Electrical Service Technician under EWRB, possessing Limited Certificate or Provisional License.
  • Possess a valid, clean New Zealand driver’s license.
  • Strong commitment to working safely with emphasis on delivering quality results.
  • Analytical and practical problem solver who enjoys technical challenges.
  • Highly responsible and flexible, able to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-centric approach.
  • Dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.
