About the Role

Belgravia Leisure is seeking energetic and friendly Lifeguards for the Port Pirie Recreation Centre in South Australia. This role involves managing daily pool operations and maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors in and around the pool facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and security within the pool area and its surroundings.
  • Maintain vigilance over pool activities and respond immediately to emergencies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to provide excellent customer service.
  • Support coaching and leadership efforts within the aquatic team.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety standards and public safety procedures pertinent to pool facilities.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and during peak seasons.
  • Capable of working autonomously as well as part of a cohesive team.
  • Current certifications: First Aid Level 2, CPR, Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
  • Must hold a valid National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
  • Possession of a Pool Operations Certificate is favorable but not mandatory.
  • Prior industry experience is beneficial but not required.
