Role Responsibilities
- Protect guest safety by preventing drownings at hotel pools or beaches through vigilant supervision.
- Consistently monitor pool and beach areas and ensure all safety signage is current and visible.
- Maintain an up-to-date governmental lifeguard certification and complete renewals as required.
- Report any hazardous incidents to management promptly and assist in preparing related reports.
- Possess knowledge of first aid procedures and effectively handle drowning emergencies.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in various hotel departments and performing other tasks assigned by management.
- Operate professional fitness programs, including conducting fitness assessments, evaluations, program planning, and instruction.
- Adhere strictly to hotel policies on health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met throughout the facility.
- Identify activities and equipment that may impact environmental health and participate in initiatives promoting biodiversity conservation.
- Engage in trainings to raise environmental awareness and promote minimal consumption of resources such as paper.
- Implement and follow energy-saving measures and conduct departmental training on energy efficiency.
- Manage waste responsibly to minimize environmental pollution and adhere to proper disposal methods.
- Support quality management and food safety systems in place within the facility.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or hotel management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum education level: High school diploma or vocational certificate.
- At least two years of relevant experience in lifeguard or related roles.
- Proficient communication skills in English and Arabic to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Completion of professional training, seminars, and certification relevant to lifeguarding.
- Basic competence in using tools and equipment associated with the job; tasks are mostly repetitive and specific.
- Computer skills are not a requirement.
