Legal Specialist

Position Overview

This contract-based role as a Legal Specialist offers remote work flexibility with compensation ranging from $40 to $110 per hour depending on experience. The commitment expected ranges from 10 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Examine, analyze, and revise commercial agreements to verify their precision and ensure alignment with relevant laws and business goals.
• Offer expert advice on employment law, structured finance, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions matters.
• Review and provide recommendations to enhance SaaS Master Service Agreements by identifying potential risks.
• Interpret and develop guidelines based on complex regulatory requirements to maintain compliance with shifting legal frameworks.
• Analyze data privacy policies in light of international regulations and standards.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to clarify legal issues and deliver clear, actionable written guidance.

Requirements

• Active and good-standing membership in a recognized Bar association.
• Proven legal practice experience focusing on commercial contracts, employment law, and structured finance.
• Comprehensive understanding of private equity, M&A, and regulatory compliance.
• Skilled in contract negotiation and redlining with meticulous attention to detail.
• Practical experience reviewing SaaS MSAs and advising on data privacy matters.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex legal concepts for varied audiences.
