Job description
Role overview
This role is on behalf of a partner organization, which will handle applications and the subsequent recruitment steps. The employer is seeking a Legal Specialist located in Germany to support international operations with practical, business-focused legal advice.
You will work in a fast-moving, technology-oriented setting where legal support spans intellectual property, commercial agreements, compliance, and corporate matters. The position involves helping reduce legal exposure while still enabling growth, with regular collaboration across teams and exposure to cross-border work.
Key accountabilities
- Oversee intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright filings in several jurisdictions such as the EU, the US, and other international venues, and handle enforcement actions through cease-and-desist letters, DMCA notices, and platform complaints.
- Manage the company’s domain portfolio and digital assets by carrying out due diligence, registrations, renewals, transfers, and infringement monitoring, while coordinating with external IP agents.
- Act on domain name disputes and related proceedings under UDRP and URS, including preparation of legal documents and coordination with outside counsel.
- Prepare, negotiate, and review a broad range of commercial contracts, such as licensing agreements, NDAs, SaaS contracts, API integration agreements, Master Service Agreements, and publisher agreements.
- Support compliance efforts across regulated and data-sensitive areas including iGaming, FinTech, eCommerce, GDPR, CCPA, and cookie compliance.
- Assist with the structure and maintenance of international group entities and provide advice on cross-border corporate legal issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional legal experience with exposure to both commercial law and intellectual property law.
- Ability to draft complex agreements independently from the ground up, not only by adapting templates.
- Strong understanding of foreign legal systems, including legal research, interpretation of statutes, and analysis of case law.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain legal risks and recommendations to non-legal colleagues.
- Experience handling several legal matters at once while staying effective under strict deadlines.
- Proactive mindset focused on identifying and reducing legal risk early.
- Commercially minded approach that balances legal protection with business priorities.
- Experience structuring agreements to limit intellectual property exposure.
- Familiarity with LegalTech tools is an added advantage.
- Background in iGaming, FinTech, or eCommerce is considered beneficial.
Benefits
- Fully remote working arrangement with the freedom to work from a location that suits you best.
- Full-time role with scope for long-term career progression and internal growth.
- Structured development path with regular performance reviews, mentoring, and professional growth initiatives.
- Personal learning budget, corporate English classes, workshops, and access to an online learning library.
- Comprehensive medical coverage and mental health support.
- 20 paid vacation days, paid public holidays, and paid sick leave.
- Monthly flexible benefits allowance usable for hobbies, sports, wellness, or other personal interests.
- Regular team-building events, workshops, and company gatherings.
- Collaborative, innovative, and low-bureaucracy environment with a focus on continuous improvement and growth.
