Job description
Overview
This is a one-off paid consulting engagement for seasoned professionals in regulatory compliance and regulatory affairs. The work is designed as a project-based, remote interview for an AI marketplace initiative, and it does not represent a permanent or full-time position. No advance preparation is needed; the focus is on your actual day-to-day experience.
The opportunity is available only to U.S.-based experts. The expected compensation is $155 per hour, prorated for a 30-minute session.
What the engagement involves
You will take part in a recorded, AI-guided video interview lasting about 30 minutes. During the session, you will describe how you handle real work in practice, including the steps you follow and the reasoning behind your decisions.
- Tracking regulatory changes, scanning for future developments, mapping jurisdictions, reviewing alerts, confirming effective dates, and communicating emerging changes
- Evaluating whether a requirement applies, assessing business impact, identifying gaps, determining what changes are needed, resolving unclear interpretations, and setting priorities and timelines
- Turning regulatory obligations into policies, procedures, operational controls, implementation plans, and evidence of completion
- Handling conflicting obligations, required process steps, control trade-offs, approvals, version control, policy upkeep, and coordination across teams
The interview will cover practical workflows such as regulatory monitoring, horizon scanning, impact analysis, applicability assessment, policy drafting, control rollout, and change governance. You should apply only if you can explain these processes step by step from your own hands-on experience and answer follow-up questions with detail and clarity.
What the client is looking for
Ideal participants will have deep experience in regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, compliance counsel, risk management, policy governance, or control implementation. The emphasis is on people who have directly owned or executed these workflows in real operating environments.
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on background in regulatory monitoring, horizon scanning, impact assessment, applicability analysis, policy drafting, control implementation, and change governance
- Experience influencing or making decisions about regulatory relevance, jurisdictional scope, urgency, applicability, risk ranking, interpretation, control design, implementation ownership, approvals, and exception handling
- Working knowledge of tools such as Thomson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence, CUBE, RegEd, Ascent, ServiceNow GRC, Archer, MetricStream, Workiva, SharePoint, Excel, and Jira
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain processes, choices, and rationale clearly
- Experience collaborating with legal, business, finance, compliance, security, procurement, product, engineering, and outside counsel teams
Additional information
This is a project-based assignment. If selected, you will be compensated for completing the recorded interview. The stated hourly rate is an estimate based on the expected time required to finish the task.
You will manage your own schedule, use your own equipment to complete the interview, and remain free to take on other work or opportunities.
After the interview is completed, your recording and transcript, together with AI-generated insights, will be shared with the internal research team and AI lab partner. The information will be used to build a structured list of tasks for the profession and to support AI model improvement.
