Job description
Role Overview
This contract role is fully remote and focuses on applying legal operations and legal technology expertise to help create realistic workflow environments used for evaluating advanced language models. The work centers on legal operations, contract management, and e-discovery scenarios that mirror real enterprise settings.
What You’ll Do
You will design and build digital workspaces that reflect everyday legal operations work, then turn those workflows into structured evaluation tasks. The role involves mapping multi-step processes across legal intake, contract lifecycle management, matter handling, e-discovery, and spend-related operations.
You will also create scenario-based tasks that require moving between different tools, documents, files, and stakeholders, while collaborating with legal operations and technology specialists to improve realism, task difficulty, and assessment quality.
Additional responsibilities include working asynchronously with research teams, refining benchmark structure, and translating complex legal operations processes into clear evaluation requirements.
Ideal Background
The position is best suited to professionals with hands-on experience in legal operations, legal technology, e-discovery, contract lifecycle management, or matter management. Experience with legal spend management, legal intake, knowledge management, or broader enterprise legal program design will also be valuable.
Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Relativity, Icertis, HotDocs, Contract Express, Clio, or MyCase is preferred. Involvement with CLOC or ACC Legal Ops communities is considered an advantage.
Compensation
This role pays between $55 and $75 per hour.
Additional Information
The role is contract-based, remote, and appears to be flexible in scheduling, with work done asynchronously alongside research teams.
