About the Role

The Legal team supports the business by converting complicated legal and regulatory matters into practical guidance. Working closely with teams across the company, the function helps Revolut move quickly while staying compliant and protected for sustainable growth.

This role is for a Legal Counsel who will help support fast-paced expansion by handling regulatory licence applications, structuring complex commercial partnerships, and reducing legal risk around product launches.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting legal matters connected to regulatory licence changes and fresh licence applications
Preparing, assessing, and negotiating commercial and marketing contracts
Helping with board-related matters and corporate governance work
Handling legal and regulatory issues for local markets and new expansion regions
Advising on compliance frameworks and structural needs for the product roadmap
Providing guidance on data protection and privacy-related legal questions
Tracking regulatory updates and responding proactively to new legal developments
Creating and updating customer-facing materials such as terms and conditions, product disclosure statements, and policy documents
Advising on payment services and changing regulatory regimes

What You'll Need

At least 5 years of experience as a qualified lawyer, along with a current New Zealand practising certificate
Background in private practice or in-house legal work within a financial services business
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, including the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act and the Financial Markets Conduct Act
Practical expertise in retail banking and consumer law
Strong analytical ability paired with sound commercial and legal judgement
Ability to work independently with initiative and confident decision-making
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-performance environment
