Role Overview
KitchenPark is looking for a Legal Counsel with 4 to 7 years of experience, either in a law firm or in-house setting. The successful candidate will be bilingual in Arabic and English and will bring hands-on experience in negotiating procurement and real estate acquisition agreements, managing corporate legal matters, and reviewing contracts. This position plays an important role in enabling strategic work across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial real estate documents across the GCC, such as property purchase agreements, lease contracts for both landlords and tenants, investment contracts tied to real estate assets, and related documents.
- Support the real estate team with legal advice on property acquisitions, leasing, investment activity, and development projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar.
- Examine and negotiate transaction paperwork including amendments, addenda, side letters, memoranda of understanding, and other supporting real estate documents.
- Advise on commercial lease negotiations with a focus on risk allocation, termination clauses, renewal terms, exclusivity provisions, and other material legal and business points.
- Spot legal risks in real estate and commercial transactions and recommend practical ways to reduce exposure while still supporting business goals.
- Help maintain compliance with the relevant laws and regulations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar for real estate and related commercial activity.
- Provide legal assistance on broader commercial transactions connected to the company’s real estate portfolio and operations, including vendor, services, and operational agreements.
- Contribute to the creation, upkeep, and improvement of contract templates and internal legal workflows.
- Deliver general legal support for matters linked to the company’s real estate holdings and expansion across the GCC.
Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited or recognized university.
- At least 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal role.
- Full professional fluency in Arabic and English, with strong spoken and written communication in both languages.
- Strong critical thinking and careful attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal abilities and the capacity to work well within a team-based environment.
- Ability to handle several projects at once and work to demanding deadlines.
Work Setup and Additional Information
This position can be based in either Dubai or Saudi Arabia. KitchenPark follows an in-person working model for office-based roles, requiring teams to work from one of the office locations five days a week.
