Position Overview
We are seeking a contract-based Legal Clerk specializing in commercial real estate law within the energy sector for remote work focused on the US East Coast region. This role requires a commitment ranging between 10 to 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrutinize and interpret commercial real estate documents, site control agreements, and title records associated with power generation initiatives on the US East Coast.
- Extract and systematize critical data points emphasizing land use rights and ownership to support large development and infrastructure projects.
- Identify, record, and classify evidence relating to land-use compliance as well as spot potential gaps or legal issues within documentation.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-layered team to verify document accuracy during both initial evaluations and final reconciliations.
- Assist in generating benchmark datasets instrumental in validating and enhancing AI-based document review systems.
- Convey findings clearly and effectively, both in oral and written formats, ensuring precision and clarity in all project deliverables.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Proven expertise in commercial real estate law, especially connected to large-scale infrastructure or power generation sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of documentation related to title, ownership, and land-use rights for complex projects.
- Experience in detailed document examination, data extraction, and identifying legal risks or deficiencies.
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to precise and structured data handling.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to document findings clearly and collaborate effectively within a team.
