Job description
Role Summary
The School of Business Management seeks a Lecturer to design and deliver comprehensive Diploma and Specialist Diploma courses specializing in Supply Chain and Logistics Management. The curriculum emphasizes modern supply chain operations, integrating technology, artificial intelligence applications, sustainability practices, and data analytics. The role includes oversight of student learning activities and coordination of industry-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum tailored to supply chain management, incorporating technology and AI, including assessment design and maintaining academic excellence using innovative teaching approaches.
- Continuously update course material to reflect the latest trends and best practices in supply chain industries, technology advances, and AI applications.
- Coordinate and conduct industry site visits to expose students to practical best practices in supply chain operations.
- Organize overseas educational excursions to enhance students' global business acumen and technological insights in supply chain management.
- Engage closely with industry partners to gather feedback, allowing collaborative curriculum refinement to optimize learning outcomes.
- Foster partnerships with business stakeholders to jointly develop training programs, professional events, and networking opportunities beneficial to both learners and the institution.
- Offer support and career guidance to students, assisting their academic progression and personal development throughout their diploma studies.
- Manage academic and departmental administrative responsibilities effectively.
- Assist in various departmental projects and other duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of three years’ experience across multiple supply chain functions, with hands-on expertise in supply chain technology and AI implementations.
- Background in supply chain management suitable for teaching, with potential to cover subjects such as Statistics or Economics.
- Capability to deliver captivating instruction in areas like generative AI in supply chains, inventory and warehouse operations, supply chain analytics, sustainability, and international freight and trade management.
- Strong proficiency in mentoring students through practical activities and project work.
- Established professional relationships and networks within supply chain or related industry sectors.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective cooperation at all organizational levels.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
