About the role
The Leasing Executive will focus on improving occupancy and rental returns by attracting and securing tenants for commercial or retail premises. This position includes identifying prospects, arranging site tours, discussing lease terms, and handling lease paperwork. The person in this role will work with internal teams and outside partners to keep the leasing journey efficient, while also tracking market movements and tenant composition to support asset performance and value growth.
Key responsibilities
- Create and implement leasing plans that help achieve the right tenant and trade balance.
- Manage leads throughout the entire leasing process, from initial outreach and negotiations to final deal completion.
- Pinpoint target customer segments and prospective tenants, and work closely with property agents.
- Launch actions aimed at increasing rental income and improving occupancy across the portfolio.
- Deliver polished sales presentations and guide prospects through property viewings.
- Be accountable for rental revenue and occupancy outcomes for the assigned properties.
- Lead leasing efforts for new tenants, lease renewals, and negotiation of commercial terms.
- Partner with internal functions to ensure lease documents are accurate and administration is handled smoothly.
- Monitor changes and developments in the retail market.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial projections, and monthly reporting on performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams on marketing campaigns and event support.
- Build and maintain positive tenant relationships to encourage retention, referrals, and repeat leasing business.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Business, Sales and Marketing, Real Estate Management, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a comparable role, ideally in retail leasing and/or marketing.
- Strong creativity, resourcefulness, and solid written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both on your own and as part of a team in a fast-moving setting.
- Good organisational ability, with the capacity to manage tight deadlines and resolve issues methodically.
- A well-developed network in the F&B and retail sectors is a strong advantage.
