Overview

The role focuses on establishing and nurturing robust partnerships with suppliers to promote collaboration, resolve disagreements, and drive joint efforts. The position contributes to organizational success by aligning supplier relationships with strategic goals, boosting operational effectiveness, and encouraging innovation through collaborative partnerships.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, systems, and controls in compliance with group delegation of authority to provide consistent, quality, and cost-effective service.
  • Timely completion of reports that meet business standards and keeping senior management informed via periodic management and progress reports to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain open, trustworthy communication channels with key suppliers, understanding their needs and aligning with company objectives.
  • Serve as the central liaison for supplier-related communications, managing conflict resolution swiftly and satisfactorily.
  • Promote constructive negotiations and collaborations to identify mutually advantageous outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational or contractual issues affecting supplier partnerships.
  • Organize supplier engagement events such as workshops, improvement initiatives, and innovation sessions to foster continuous development.
  • Identify and pursue joint projects that improve operational efficiency, quality, and innovation.
  • Lead regular business reviews with suppliers, exchanging performance insights and data.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, recommending and facilitating training and resource sharing initiatives to boost supplier performance.
  • Comply strictly with health, safety, security, and risk management protocols, including reporting hazards and incidents promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of six years’ relevant professional experience.
  • Master’s degree in related disciplines is preferred.

  • Report potentially hazardous conditions or incidents to supervisors immediately.
