Role Summary

The position involves leading and executing civil, architectural, and structural designs ensuring compliance with quality standards and project timelines. The candidate will engage in design analysis, cost estimation, feasibility assessment, and project management within the power sector, particularly substations and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop civil, architectural, and structural engineering designs adhering to required quality and scheduling demands.
• Follow established design procedures and guidelines rigorously.
• Analyze technical design challenges and propose solutions.
• Conduct engineering calculations and design analysis per project criteria.
• Estimate construction costs and material requirements based on finalized designs.
• Review and evaluate project plans for design feasibility and limitations.
• Utilize modern software tools and technologies for enhanced design solutions.
• Maintain precise design documentation for record and reference.
• Incorporate health, safety, and environmental considerations into all design activities.
• Oversee design projects to ensure delivery within set timelines and man-hours.
• Keep current with industry developments and standards in relevant design disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet Quality Management System requirements.
• Support senior design personnel as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).
• Experience range: 8-12 years for Senior Engineer; 13-18 years for Lead Engineer roles.
• Proficient in structural design and analysis for LV/MV/HV/EHV substations and transmission infrastructures from initial to IFC stages.
• Expertise in reviewing architectural, civil, and structural drawings including steel fabrication details.
• Knowledgeable in infrastructure design for solar plants, water pumping stations, and related services.
• Familiar with standards such as ACI, IBC, ASCE, SASO, SEC, and regional codes.
• Strong command of software tools including SAP, STAAD Pro, GT Strudel, MS Excel, drafting software, 3D modeling, and document management systems.
• Understanding of construction materials, methods, and applicable local regulations.
• Experience preparing technical specifications, design bases, alternative solutions, BOQs, and conducting value engineering.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
