Overview
This leadership role involves guiding the process engineering discipline within an EPC environment, managing the engineering activities across projects, and actively participating throughout bidding, construction, and commissioning phases. The focus is on technical expertise combined with coordination and proactive problem-solving to ensure project and client satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, oversee, and control all engineering tasks related to process discipline.
- Coordinate across interdisciplinary teams and foster team cohesion.
- Address issues proactively by escalating them early to management for timely solutions.
- Participate actively in technical progress reviews, client, vendor, and team meetings.
- Support procurement by aiding in material requisitions and technical bid clarifications and evaluations.
- Assist bidding teams in RFQ preparations and technical bid evaluations.
- Respond promptly to technical queries arising at construction sites.
- Review engineering outputs from GES plus and other deliverables as necessary.
- Maintain safety standards and quality expectations for all deliverables.
- Engage in value engineering practices, including lessons learned, risk assessments, constructability studies, and related workshops.
- Strive to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance the company's reputation to enable repeat business and goodwill.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Over 10 years of combined experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, and Power sectors.
- Proven track record working with GES plus/EPC contractors on projects with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and similar prestigious organizations.
- Experience supporting pre-commissioning activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (B.S., B.E., or B.Tech.).
- Relevant trainings and certifications are required.

Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of process engineering fundamentals applicable to Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, and Water industries.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, DEP, and Royal Commission standards, including HCISS regulations.
- Understanding of international codes like ASME, ANSI, API, AWWA, JIS, CSA, NFPA, FM, and UL.
- Hands-on experience creating process block diagrams, utility/process flow diagrams, P&IDs, heat and material/mass balances.
- Competence in process hydraulics, pressure drop calculations, and the use of engineering software such as AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow.
- Experience with water hammer/surge analyses using AFT Impulse or Pipe Net.
- Knowledge of hydraulic network analysis tools like Stoner.
- Ability to analyze and review flow assurance studies using OLGA software for mixed flow scenarios.
- Proficient in process simulation and modeling using Hysys with comprehensive process stream data.
- Capability of providing process design data to multiple engineering disciplines including mechanical, instrumentation, piping, and electrical.
- Active involvement in 3D model reviews internally and with clients across disciplines.
- Participation in value engineering workshops such as constructability, risk management, and lessons learned sessions.
- Experience in safety and risk analysis studies including QRA, HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, and SIL assessments.
