Office Manager / Managing Director – Engineering Office

About the Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader to establish and direct an engineering consultancy office in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This position demands a proactive business builder who has demonstrable experience in managing engineering consultancy operations within the Eastern Province market, with a strong focus on leadership, client acquisition, and business growth from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities of the engineering office.
• Develop, lead, and mentor multidisciplinary teams of engineers.
• Design internal organizational structures and establish efficient operating models.
• Drive business development efforts to secure new projects.
• Utilize and expand your professional network to attract and retain clients.
• Maintain strong relationships with municipalities, government agencies, real estate developers, and other significant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code and local engineering standards.
• Manage project coordination and ensure client deliverables meet quality expectations.
• Represent the organization in senior-level meetings and negotiations.
• Contribute to strategic planning for company expansion.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience successfully managing an engineering consultancy office.
• Proven leadership abilities directing engineering operations.
• Deep-rooted network within the Eastern Province cities, including Al Khobar, Dammam, Dhahran, and Jubail.
• Extensive familiarity with interactions involving municipalities, regulatory and approval entities, and real estate developers.
• Thorough understanding of local engineering regulations and the Saudi Building Code.
• Demonstrable track record of business generation and revenue growth with existing client relationships.
• Strong expertise in team building, organizational development, and operational management.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an entrepreneurial leadership challenge with substantial earning potential. The compensation structure includes a guaranteed monthly salary of SAR 10,000 for the initial six months, credited as an advance against future earnings. Following this period, remuneration will be based on 40% of the company’s net profits. The first six months’ salary will be deducted from subsequent profit shares, allowing for unlimited income growth depending on business performance.
