About the role
IAG is seeking an experienced Lead in Environment Management to take ownership of critical non-production platforms and support day-to-day operations alongside a major enterprise transformation program. This is a hands-on individual contributor position focused on shaping environment strategy, maintaining stable BAU performance, and making sure live environments can support change safely and effectively.
The position is permanent, full-time, and based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
What you'll be responsible for
- Overseeing BAU non-production environments with a focus on stability, performance, and availability.
- Creating and putting into practice an end-to-end approach for environment management and governance.
- Supporting delivery of change in live environments while keeping operational priorities in balance.
- Coordinating across programs and teams to manage dependencies and keep work moving smoothly.
- Strengthening environment monitoring, health checks, and incident management processes.
What you need to bring
- Substantial experience leading environments or platforms, ideally across DevOps, SRE, or cloud/SaaS settings.
- A proven record of building and delivering environment strategy in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Good knowledge of DevOps methods, testing approaches, and current engineering practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Prior exposure to Guidewire, cloud environments, or PolicyCenter would be an advantage.
