Role Overview
This full-time, onsite Laundry Worker position is based in Lagos Mainland (Idimu). The primary responsibilities include receiving and sorting laundry items, tagging garments, operating washing, drying, and ironing machines, and ensuring all laundry meets the store's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect garments for stains or damages and apply the correct cleaning procedures.
- Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and irons to clean garments effectively.
- Fold and package finished laundry items appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Keep basic records of completed laundry orders.
- Adhere strictly to hygiene and safety guidelines.
- Provide courteous and professional service when dealing with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in standard laundry tasks, such as sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding garments.
- Keen attention to detail, including correct tagging and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to recognize different fabric types and select appropriate stain removal techniques.
- Basic organizational skills and time management to handle multiple orders and meet daily goals.
- Physical stamina to stand for long durations, lift moderate weights, and safely operate laundry machinery.
- Dependability, punctuality, and readiness to work full-time on-site, including weekends or shifts.
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate well within a team.
- Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or retail services is advantageous; basic literacy and numeracy are also beneficial.
