Laundry Attendant

About the Role

Join the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts team in Doha as a Laundry Attendant responsible for operating and managing laundry machinery to ensure cleanliness and care of linens and garments. This position requires careful handling of fabric types, stain treatment, and adherence to quality and safety standards within a high-end hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines, dry cleaning, and drying equipment, including adding appropriate chemicals and cleaning lint filters regularly.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine proper treatment such as stain removal, re-washing, or disposal.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and properly organize them on carts for clean linen.
• Set drying times and temperatures according to fabric type.
• Remove lint and debris from filters and machines after every load.
• Fold cleaned laundry manually or with folding machines according to designated sizes.
• Keep detailed records of washed and ironed items.
• Follow all company safety protocols, report maintenance issues and accidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and respect confidentiality and property of the company.
• Support colleagues with respect and dignity, promoting teamwork and meeting quality assurance standards.
• Physically handle objects weighing less than 25 pounds, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and navigating confined or uneven spaces throughout the work shift.
• Perform additional reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• No formal secondary education or high school diploma equivalent is required.
• Previous relevant work experience is not necessary.
• Supervisory experience is not required.
• No specific licenses or certifications are mandatory.
