Role Overview

The Room Attendant plays a crucial role within the housekeeping team by maintaining the guest rooms to impeccable standards of cleanliness and presentation. This position involves working both independently and collaboratively, with a strong focus on delivering comfort and satisfaction to guests through attention to detail and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean all allocated guest rooms, storage spaces, and corridors thoroughly to meet company standards.
• Restock room supplies and bathroom amenities according to specified room types.
• Report any lost property following established hotel procedures.
• Complete scheduled and routine cleaning duties as assigned.
• Manage guest laundry tasks in line with hotel policies.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment properly, promptly reporting any malfunctions.
• Help maintain equipment and supply inventories through regular stock checks.
• Ensure security of room keys and guest areas at all times, observing all safety and security protocols, and report suspicious activity.
• Follow proper practices for handling and storing cleaning chemicals as per health and safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Previous experience in housekeeping or similar roles such as Room Attendant or Cleaner is desirable.
• Exhibit a warm, approachable, and professional communication manner to ensure a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail combined with strong time management skills to efficiently present high-quality guest rooms.
• Physically capable of performing tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods across varied environments including rooms, corridors, and service areas.
