Role overview
An experienced Land Surveyor is needed to lead surveying work across construction projects in Singapore. The role involves carrying out land and site measurements, handling survey data, and working with engineers and site personnel to make sure mapping and measurements support project delivery accurately.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of all surveying and setting-out activities for the project while keeping work aligned with project requirements and industry norms.
- Carry out topographic and boundary surveys whenever needed.
- Use current surveying tools and software to capture, process, and examine survey information.
- Work in coordination with engineers, site teams, and other relevant parties so survey tasks match the project schedule and goals.
- Explain survey results to the construction team in a clear way and provide direction based on the collected data.
- Help detect and address any inconsistencies or problems in survey information and site measurements.
- Apply quality control checks to survey work and carry out regular reviews to confirm accuracy.
- Ensure surveying equipment and instruments are correctly calibrated and kept in good working condition.
- Produce detailed survey records, drawings, maps, and reports, and keep both digital and physical files well organized.
- Share regular progress reports and survey updates with project management.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Surveying, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience working in land surveying.
- Background in land surveying and setting-out for Singapore LTA projects, rail projects, or other large-scale construction work is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of modern survey equipment and software such as GPS, Total Station, and AutoCAD.
