Role Summary

This position is for a driven Laboratory & Molecular Sales Specialist with a solid scientific foundation and a strong interest in sales. The job involves presenting and selling molecular diagnostics, lab instruments, life science products, and diagnostic solutions to hospitals, clinical labs, research centers, and universities. The role blends technical knowledge with commercial focus, so the person must understand customer needs, offer scientific and product guidance, develop lasting business relationships, and work toward demanding sales goals.

Sales and Business Development

  • Spot, develop, and assess new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with laboratory managers, pathologists, clinicians, researchers, procurement teams, and other influential stakeholders.
  • Present and sell molecular diagnostics, laboratory instruments, reagents, rapid test products, and life science solutions.
  • Carry out customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and scientific conversations.
  • Create and implement territory plans to drive market expansion and win new customers.
  • Meet or surpass monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets consistently.

Sales Pipeline and CRM

  • Handle the full sales process from lead generation through closing and post-sale follow-up.
  • Keep the sales pipeline up to date and record customer interactions in the company CRM.
  • Prepare quotations, sales projections, opportunity updates, and market intelligence reports.

Technical and Customer Support

  • Advise customers on laboratory workflows and molecular applications.
  • Help customers choose products and solutions that match their laboratory needs.
  • Work closely with application specialists, service engineers, and internal teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Inform customers about new technologies, product enhancements, and changes in the industry.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or another closely related life sciences field.

Experience

Applicants should have 0 to 3 years of experience in laboratory sales, molecular diagnostics sales, medical device sales, life science sales, product specialist roles, application specialist roles, or clinical/research laboratory work with a strong interest in sales. Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge, good communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for sales are also welcome.
