About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Henderson, Nevada. This position involves providing comprehensive care to women during labor and delivery, continuously monitoring the health of both mother and newborn. The RN will play a crucial role in guiding mothers through labor, assisting physicians, managing delivery preparations, and supporting mothers with breastfeeding in the postpartum period.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to women throughout labor and childbirth.
- Continuously monitor vital signs and well-being of both mother and baby.
- Coach and educate mothers during the birthing process.
- Assist doctors during delivery procedures.
- Prepare patients adequately for each stage of delivery.
- Offer support and guidance for postpartum breastfeeding.
Qualifications and Certifications
- At least two years of recent experience as an L&D Registered Nurse.
- Possess an active Registered Nurse license.
- Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and preferably Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification.
