Job description
Role overview
We are hiring a KiwiSaver Adviser for the Wairarapa region. This opportunity is suited to someone who wants to make a meaningful difference by helping people make better financial decisions through personalised KiwiSaver guidance. The role offers flexibility in how you connect with clients, including in their homes, by video meeting, or by phone, with the goal of helping them make the most of their KiwiSaver.
What you will do
- Provide limited-scope advice on Generate’s KiwiSaver scheme, including its key features, benefits, and the available fund choices.
- Help customers strengthen their understanding of saving and investing so they can work toward the retirement lifestyle they want.
- Act as a reliable adviser by sharing accurate product information and ensuring all advice and activity stays compliant with the relevant rules and regulations.
- Generate new business through referrals, relationship-building, and involvement in community events.
- Offer continued support when customers experience changes in their personal or financial circumstances.
About you
Ideal candidates may already be working as financial advisers or may have experience in financial services and a strong interest in KiwiSaver, investing, and financial wellbeing. The company is also open to people from sales or customer relationship roles in other industries who are highly motivated to become a KiwiSaver and investment specialist.
You are likely to do well in this role if you are customer-focused, self-driven, and comfortable taking initiative. A background in account management, sales, business development, broking, advisory work, or similar relationship-based roles will be valuable. You should also be organised and process-aware, with a commitment to high standards and customer-first service. A positive attitude, openness to feedback, and a desire to keep learning are important.
Other requirements
- You must pass a clean credit check and police check.
- You need to have your own vehicle and a smartphone to carry out the role effectively.
- You should be willing to complete a Level 5 financial services certificate, which will be fully funded.
What’s on offer
- Uncapped earning potential with generous remuneration.
- Strong flexibility: you will spend time meeting people in the community or working from home, rather than being tied to a standard 9-to-5 office routine.
- Back-end support from a sales team that books appointments, plus tools and technology to help you work efficiently.
- Support from a marketing team focused on growing the brand.
- Comprehensive onboarding and training, including funding for the Level 5 financial services certificate.
Application notes
Only people who live in the Wairarapa region should apply. Applicants must also hold a valid visa allowing full-time work in New Zealand.
