Role overview

Diamond Coast Hotel in Bartragh, Enniscrone, County Sligo is seeking a part-time Kitchen Porter to support day-to-day kitchen operations. The hotel sits beside Enniscrone championship golf course, sand dunes, and five kilometres of beaches, and forms part of a larger hospitality operation managed by Windward Management.

About the hotel and employer

Diamond Coast Hotel is a luxury property with 99 spacious guest rooms, many overlooking the golf course and dunes. Its facilities include the Coral Restaurant, Stir Bistro, meeting rooms, and a banqueting suite that can host up to 400 guests. The hotel is operated by Windward Management, a hospitality management business founded in 2007 with a portfolio of approximately 2,000 keys across Ireland and Continental Europe. The company provides hotel operations, marketing, and financial management support while promoting a collaborative and guest-focused culture.

What the role involves

  • Maintain clean and sanitised kitchen worktops and preparation areas.
  • Wash and sanitise cookware, utensils, and cutlery quickly so items remain in use.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors at both the start and end of shifts.
  • Keep storage spaces for food and supplies neat and well arranged.
  • Remove rubbish and waste from the kitchen area.
  • Be over 18 years of age because of the working hours involved.

Experience and skills needed

  • Prior experience is preferred but not compulsory.
  • Comfortable working across weekdays and weekends.
  • Able to cope well in a busy, fast-moving kitchen environment.
  • Strong eye for detail and cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with other departments.
