Its work spans areas such as manufacturing, engineering, cybersecurity and space, with a focus on supporting progress in critical industries and building a future people can trust.

Team Overview

The Explosive Ordnance Services group supports the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal activities across Australia. The role offers exposure to multiple parts of the business and the chance to build broad operational experience. Many team members have progressed into leadership after starting in this position.

This position is based at the Darwin RAAF site on Larrakia land.

  • Track product shelf life and assist with stock audits and inspections.
  • Use information systems to enter and retrieve stores data.

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate should hold a full driver’s licence and bring solid customer service capability. Strong accuracy, along with well-developed numerical, verbal and written communication skills, is important. Experience in warehousing or a Defence-related environment would be an advantage.

Application and Clearance Requirements

After submitting an application, suitable candidates will receive a personalised selection and assessment experience. A police check is required before employment is offered, and medical checks may also be required depending on the role.

This role requires a Defence security clearance. Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance. Nationality may also affect eligibility under the Australian Defence Trade Controls Act. Some current foreign government clearances may be recognised in certain cases.

Thales encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply, even if they do not feel like an exact match for every requirement. The company is committed to building an inclusive workplace and continues to strengthen equity, development opportunities and employee support.
