Kitchen Assistant and Cashier (Casual Role)

About the Role

We invite applications from enthusiastic individuals to join our team at the Hale End training ground as a Kitchen Assistant and Cashier on a casual basis. This role demands a passion for food, a positive mindset, and an ability to flourish in a collaborative setting.

You will be tasked with delivering welcoming and efficient service at the front-of-house area, including buffet-style food service, processing card payments accurately, and assisting both staff and players as needed. Maintaining precise records of staff food expenditure will also be a key responsibility, alongside ensuring seamless service and adhering to high standards of hygiene and professionalism.

This position requires flexibility with working hours, covering weekday evenings and weekends.

Key Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by serving food and beverages buffet style to staff, players, and visitors.
• Manage orders and transactions by operating the payment till and accurately processing card payments; maintain comprehensive records of food expenses.
• Exemplify professionalism by communicating clearly with customers and adhering strictly to club policies, including health and safety, food hygiene, and safeguarding protocols.
• Support inventory management by replenishing front-of-house stock and maintaining cleanliness throughout service.
• Ensure safety and compliance by considering others' welfare, protecting confidentiality, and meeting nutrition and sanitation standards as well as industry hygiene regulations.
• Offer assistance flexibly to the Front-of-House and Kitchen teams with a positive, collaborative attitude.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in a kitchen or customer-facing food service setting is essential.
• Strong communication skills, with confidence and a team-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in handling payment transactions and familiarity with POS systems.
• A cooperative team player capable of independent work and eager to support team requirements.
• Ability to remain organized and adaptable under pressure while prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Willingness and availability to work flexible hours including weekday evenings, weekends, and early mornings.
