About the School
Nalanda Vidyaniketan is a K–12 institution focused on strong academics and well-rounded child development. Its kindergarten section is designed to offer a caring, lively, and inspiring setting where young children can learn through curiosity, play, and guided exploration.

Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment for children between 3 and 6 years of age.
- Teach through interactive experiences such as play-based activities, stories, phonics practice, art, and music.
- Monitor children’s developmental progress, evaluate learning milestones, and maintain records of observations.
- Set classroom routines, encourage positive conduct, and maintain a cheerful yet orderly learning space.
- Stay in regular contact with parents to provide updates, discuss progress, and address developmental concerns.
- Participate in training sessions, teamwork with colleagues, and curriculum improvement conversations.
Qualification Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized institution is required.
- A diploma, certification, or formal training in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, or Pre-Primary Education from a respected institute is preferred.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills are necessary.
- The candidate should genuinely enjoy working with children and demonstrate patience, creativity, and emotional maturity.
- Exposure to phonics teaching, sensory-based learning, and child-friendly digital tools will be an advantage.
Experience Levels
The institution has outlined three experience bands: 1–3 years for educators who can manage structured activities and care routines; 4–8 years for teachers who can lead classroom planning and support staff guidance; and 9+ years for experienced professionals who can take charge of curriculum planning, school-readiness initiatives, and parent engagement.
Selection Process
- Applicants may be asked to submit a short creative activity or lesson plan to show their classroom approach.
- A basic proficiency assessment may be conducted to review technology handling and documentation abilities using MS Office or class management tools.
- A live reading and phonics evaluation may be used to assess clarity of speech, articulation, and early literacy teaching skills.
- Candidates may also be required to deliver a short demo class using storytelling, rhymes, or games to demonstrate warmth and engagement.
