About Al Qurm Charter School

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inclusive and inspiring lessons that foster student independence and maximize their educational progress.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers to design engaging curriculum-aligned lessons and share best practices.
- Communicate clearly and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues within the school community.
- Support children’s development by cooperating with curriculum support staff and liaising with specialists including speech and language therapists and educational psychologists as required.
- Manage classroom environment by organizing learning resources and creating stimulative displays.
- Implement assessment strategies, maintaining accurate records through tools like Target Tracker, and utilize data to inform planning and interventions.
- Participate in school duties such as behavior management in alignment with the school's policies, setting high behavioral expectations, and fostering students' self-control and independence.
- Engage in wider school activities including curriculum action groups, organizing and participating in extracurricular events and outings, and running a weekly extra-curricular activity each term.
- Communicate student progress and wellbeing effectively to parents and carers using appropriate school systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject accompanied by a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience, preferably with students for whom English is an additional language.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and commitment to the holistic development of children.
- Professionalism, sensitivity towards child wellbeing, and active participation in extracurricular activities.
- A respectful and positive attitude toward all members of the school community irrespective of their background.
- Possession of a clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or police clearance.
- Residency in the same Emirate as the assigned school is required.
