Role overview
The Key Strategic Account Quality Leader supports the company’s largest and most critical customers by building strong working relationships, protecting customer satisfaction, and helping ensure long-term success. The role focuses on tracking how Vertiv solutions perform at customer sites, coordinating the handling of complex problems, and helping improve client value while supporting revenue growth.
What you will do
- Track day-to-day issues connected to key strategic account projects, including the relevant non-conformance tracking tool.
- Push for timely closure of BUGs on a daily basis.
- Investigate project issues using root cause analysis and the 8D approach.
- Prepare and share daily quality performance updates for key strategic account projects.
- Assist plant quality managers with root cause analysis using the 8D method for key strategic account projects.
- Coordinate internal Vertiv teams when issues affect top strategic customers so that resolution is efficient and effective.
- Identify underlying causes of problems and support continuous improvement efforts, including collaboration with the global quality BU team.
- Take part in critical escalations together with technical support and engineering teams.
- Work with customer experience and services teams to review failure patterns such as startup, commissioning, and transportation, and help define containment and improvement actions.
- Make sure complaint-management data is entered correctly and reflects the actual situation.
- Lead root-cause identification and help put corrective and preventive actions in place.
- Review failure reports and propose corrective measures for issues affecting key strategic accounts.
- Maintain a strong quality link with the plant, supporting smooth product-release transitions into manufacturing quality support while representing the voice of major customers.
- Work closely with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, and Product Management to improve product and service quality.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality teams whenever needed.
- Handle other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- A four-year degree in Engineering or a related subject, or at least four years of direct experience in quality assurance, or a mix of both education and experience.
- Comfortable using word processing tools, relational databases, data analysis tools, spreadsheets, planning software, and desktop publishing applications.
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis methods and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities, including the confidence to present to groups of different sizes and levels across the organization.
- Working knowledge of quality standards and business systems such as ISO 9000.
- Willingness to travel 15-20% of the time.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
