Position Overview
The Key Account Specialist, also known as the Spritz Specialist, will lead market execution, manage key client accounts, and elevate program outcomes for a premium liquor brand's summer spritz campaign. Responsible for a portfolio of five prioritized on-premise accounts, this role is focused on fostering robust trade partnerships, ensuring menu features and event support, and boosting product visibility, trial, and volume throughout the summer.
The position demands independent field activity and regular on-site interactions with the local hospitality sector while coordinating with the Client and POPLIFE teams to meet program objectives, KPIs, and brand standards.
Program Details
This seasonal initiative aims to embed the spritz as a preferred summer beverage by nurturing connections with bartenders, venue staff, and customers. Strategies include relationship cultivation, feature promotion, team training, sampling activities (offering over 1400 samples), and market-specific events that align with local culture and summer moments.
Responsibilities
- Manage five priority on-premise accounts as primary contact and maintain continuous engagement.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with owners, managers, bartenders, and staff to establish the brand as a recommended choice.
- Drive feature sell-ins and boost product distribution with multi-SKU offerings, securing menu placements and ensuring staff can easily recommend and prepare spritz serves.
- Engage with consumers, bartenders, and industry stakeholders through staff training, sampling, outreach for new partnerships, and creative event concept development.
- Plan and execute pop-ups, events, and experiential activations that bring the brand to life locally.
- Leverage social media to enhance on-ground promotions and lifestyle engagement.
- Manage local budgets and spend to optimize impact and return on investment.
- Coordinate event preparations including product delivery, event kit logistics, vendor management, and asset inventory.
- Serve as client liaison providing frequent status updates, collaborating cross-functionally, and delivering comprehensive reporting and post-program analyses.
Contract Details
- Contract Duration: June 8, 2026 to September 14, 2026 (14 weeks)
- Estimated Weekly Hours: 12-15 hours (10 hours on-site execution, 3.5 hours account management and event planning, 1.5 hours administrative and reporting)
Qualifications
- Established trade and on-premise relationships in Boston.
- Background in hospitality, beverage/spirits industry, or experiential marketing.
- Proven track record of influencing accounts and driving product sell-in.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly motivated self-starter with intimate knowledge of the local market and culture.
