Position Overview
The Oncology Key Account Manager will execute Cosette’s commercial strategy within a designated territory. This position is field-based and involves cultivating and managing strategic relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions across the oncology landscape to support product adoption and meet territory performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or surpass sales targets and brand goals monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Create and implement targeted business plans focusing on high-priority accounts and growth potential.
- Manage customer engagement through structured call planning, account prioritization, and performance assessments.
- Analyze market data, trends, prescribing habits, and competitor actions to refine strategies.
- Communicate approved clinical and product information compliantly to healthcare providers.
- Deliver presentations tailored to individual stakeholder clinical and operational needs.
- Oversee use of promotional materials, speaker programs, educational efforts, and budgets responsibly.
- Hold multiple product knowledge to sustain business momentum.
- Build and sustain relationships with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrative personnel, and facility leadership across community practices, academic and hospital systems, and integrated delivery networks.
- Design and implement strategic account plans including stakeholder analysis, objectives, treatment pathways, and growth opportunities.
- Understand oncology workflows, patient treatment courses, referrals, and key account dynamics for optimal product utilization.
- Partner across Market Access, Trade, and Patient Services teams to address reimbursement, product distribution, and patient aid needs.
- Educate customers about patient support resources and reimbursement pathways such as buy-and-bill and specialty pharmacy.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs for scientific exchanges and customer education ensuring compliance.
- Support product launches, relaunches, and lifecycle initiatives by driving customer education and business strategies.
- Maintain precise administrative records including CRM entries, call and expense reports, and compliance training.
- Operate fully in alignment with company policies, FDA regulations, industry codes, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years demonstrated success in pharmaceutical, biotech, specialty healthcare sales, or related sectors.
- Proven ability to navigate complex healthcare accounts and multi-stakeholder relationships.
- Experience with specialty pharmaceuticals and account-based selling models preferred.
- Oncology or hematology experience including specialty pharmacy or buy-and-bill structures is advantageous.
- Familiarity with community oncology sites, academic medical centers, hospitals, and integrated delivery networks.
- Understanding of healthcare delivery systems, product commercialization, reimbursement, distribution models, and oncology practice workflows.
- Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to travel frequently including overnight stays.
- Residency within or willingness to relocate to the assigned territory before employment commencement.
- Strong scientific and business acumen combined with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, compliance adherence, and results-driven approach.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers an annual base salary ranging from $140,000 to $175,000 for this field-based position. Additional Information
