Role overview
In the role of Kalkulator (m/w/d), you will independently prepare bid and order cost calculations for building construction, civil engineering, and special construction projects. You will review tender documents, request pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and assess both technical and financial risks. Day to day, you will coordinate closely with site management and sales, maintain calculation data, and support the handover of calculated projects into execution. You will also contribute to improving calculation workflows and refining internal standards. The position is full time, based on site, and located in Irrhausen.
Qualifications
- Completed commercial or technical vocational training, or a degree in construction or a similar field, with ideally some initial professional experience in construction cost estimation.
- Confident use of common calculation and office software, especially MS Excel; familiarity with industry-specific construction software is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of technical relationships in building construction, civil engineering, or special construction, along with basic knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical thinking, a good feel for numbers, and a careful, well-structured working style to produce reliable estimates.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cooperation with internal stakeholders and external partners, combined with a solution-focused and responsible mindset.
Responsibilities
- Prepare independent quotations and contract cost calculations for projects in building construction, civil engineering, and special construction.
- Evaluate tender documents and gather pricing information from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Review technical and commercial risks and factor them into the calculation process.
- Work closely with project management and sales teams to coordinate estimates and project transitions.
- Maintain calculation records and help transfer calculated projects into the execution phase.
- Support the ongoing improvement of estimating processes and internal calculation standards.
