Job description
Company Overview
Tech Pipeline specializes in optimizing operations by connecting existing tools with real-world workflow requirements. Our client, a financial data firm, faces challenges due to manual reconciliations and delayed approval chains that impact their monthly reporting timelines. This role aims to address these integration issues by refining the routing logic that obstructs smooth operation.
Role Summary
As a Junior Web Developer, your focus will be the practical aspects of how web applications handle data transmission within a corporate setting. Instead of high-level theories, your task will be to analyze system behaviors, detect approval chain disruptions, and correct integration faults. Your work will ensure coherence among multiple internal data systems by enhancing the accuracy and functionality of their web interfaces. This is a remote position supporting the technical team in maintaining and improving internal tool connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and analyze points of failure in web interface data flow using application logs and error reports.
- Modify routing configurations in application code to guarantee correct data delivery to relevant internal teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues affecting the productivity of financial operators.
- Maintain and debug existing codebases to fix targeted bugs without full system rewrites.
- Collaborate with the technical team to document how code updates influence daily business operations.
- Engage in the final deployment stages to ensure stability and reliability of the implemented solutions.
- Trace discrepancies in data from the user interface back through API layers to identify root causes.
Required Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of JavaScript and comprehension of client-server web communication.
- Working familiarity with HTML and CSS to develop and fix user interfaces for internal applications.
- Ability to interpret system logs to pinpoint exact failure locations within technical processes.
- Strong written communication skills to clearly convey technical resolutions to non-technical team members.
- Pragmatic coding mindset prioritizing simplicity and maintainability over unnecessary complexity.
- Interest in understanding data flow within business systems and eagerness to learn about financial reconciliation methods.
- Capability to thrive in a fully remote work environment with emphasis on documentation and autonomy.
Helpful Background
- Completion of basic programming courses, bootcamps, or personal projects involving data retrieval and APIs.
- Prior experience in operational or administrative roles managing data or backlogs.
- Basic knowledge of finance-related terminology or accounting concepts from education or past work.
What We Offer
- Full-time employment dedicated to solving real operational issues for a leading client.
- Remote work arrangement focusing on precision and minimizing unnecessary meetings.
- Competitive remuneration suitable for entry-level developers.
- Mentorship from senior technologists with emphasis on practical results and clarity.
- Opportunity to directly engage with live production systems and observe the impact of your contributions.
- A culture valuing thorough documentation and transparent communication as tools for problem-solving.
