Job description
Role overview
This position is for an early-career UX researcher who will support important product research work, partner with multiple teams, and help create smoother, more intuitive digital experiences. The team is seeking someone who is eager to learn, naturally curious, and motivated to grow research capabilities in a collaborative environment.
The UX group focuses on digital products that help clients handle finances and track investments with ease. Research is carried out across three main audiences: clients, financial advisors and internal teams, and E*TRADE clients. The team operates with a design-thinking mindset and uses user-centered methods to solve meaningful business problems in a large financial organization.
What you will do
- Support UX researchers on both small and large studies, including qualitative and quantitative work.
- Help with participant recruitment, panel coordination, research scripting, note-taking, data review, and report creation.
- Work alongside product management, design, and technology teams to shape research questions, choose suitable methods, and communicate findings.
- Assist in planning and running UX workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to improving research processes and adapting them as the UX team scales.
- Identify research opportunities that can add value across the business.
- Monitor and share broader UX trends relevant to the industry.
- Encourage a decision-making culture grounded in evidence and user insight rather than assumptions.
What this role requires
Ideal candidates bring around 1 to 2 years of experience in UX research or a related field such as market research, academic research, or UX design. Some hands-on exposure to research methods such as usability testing, ethnography, interviews, A/B or multivariate testing, and survey design is expected.
Interest in financial services and fintech is important, along with a collaborative mindset, strong curiosity, and comfort asking questions. The role also calls for flexibility, the ability to adjust quickly, and confidence in presenting ideas clearly and persuasively. Experience with enterprise and consumer technology is beneficial. Familiarity with Agile workflows and tools such as Sketch, Figma, and InVision is also valuable.
Why people enjoy working here
The organization highlights competitive pay, work-life balance, a defined growth path, and strong benefits. It also emphasizes a supportive environment where people can share work openly, ask questions, and contribute their own perspective. Team members are encouraged to build on their strengths while helping others do the same.
