Job description
Role Overview
Freese and Nichols is hiring a Graphic Designer to strengthen how the company communicates strategy, brand identity, and key messages through visual content. This position supports business development, recruiting, and internal communications by creating polished design assets and contributing to the broader visual direction of projects.
The role involves guiding work from early concept development through final production, while partnering with teams across the organization to ensure every deliverable meets brand expectations and project goals.
What You’ll Do
- Develop original concepts, campaigns, and visual narratives that advance marketing, recruiting, and communication objectives.
- Design strong, brand-aligned graphics and supporting materials that meet format requirements and project needs.
- Work closely with marketing, technical, and corporate partners to define direction and produce effective visual solutions.
- Juggle several projects at once, including timelines, contributors, and review cycles for moderately complex to complex work.
- Suggest visual strategies that help support business development, recruitment, and internal communication efforts.
- Handle vendor coordination, project budgets, photography requests, and production-related tasks for assigned work.
What We’re Looking For
- An associate degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of professional experience in graphic design or related visual communication work.
- Advanced working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Intermediate skill with Microsoft PowerPoint and strong familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines, multiple priorities, and feedback from different stakeholders.
- Strong communication, collaboration, critical thinking, initiative, and attention to detail.
Preferred Background
- A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a similar field.
- Experience working in architecture, engineering, or construction.
- Exposure to photography, video production, or editing.
- Hands-on use of Adobe Express, Adobe Lightroom, or Adobe After Effects.
- Experience creating motion graphics or animation.
- Participation in a professional organization.
