Junior Urban Planner (Saudi National)

About the Role

Parsons is seeking a Junior Urban Planner who is a Saudi national to join its team in Riyadh. This role offers the chance to contribute to planning work within an organization that emphasizes innovation, professional growth, and collaboration.

What You’ll Do

• Support a range of planning tasks that call for standard architectural planning knowledge, along with some more complex coordination and planning work.
• Collect, organize, and interpret information related to economic, social, and physical influences on land use.
• Work with local officials, community leaders, social scientists, and land development professionals to help shape recommendations for residential, commercial, transportation, industrial, and community land uses and related facilities.
• Help prepare, arrange, and run public consultation sessions, workshops, and consensus-building discussions.
• Examine and assess environmental impact studies.
• Assist with reuse and redevelopment master planning efforts.
• May help direct technicians and junior planning staff.
• Carry out other duties relevant to the position as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, City Planning, Town Planning, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Between 3 and 7 years of related professional experience is needed.
• Planner certification is considered an advantage at this level.
• Solid understanding of urban planning, environmental planning, architectural methods, and standard procedures is expected.
• Strong computer proficiency and the ability to use common planning software tools are required.
