Role Overview
This full-time position based in Woodstock, Ontario, involves supporting the development of innovative food and nutraceutical products, including capsules, tablets, and powders. Responsibilities encompass assisting with formulation development, carrying out bench-scale trials, collating and organizing data, and preparing documentation for product specifications and quality standards. Collaboration with research and development, production, quality assurance, and sales teams is key to ensure alignment of product characteristics with client requirements and compliance regulations. The role also entails evaluating raw materials, aiding sample preparation for clients, and contributing to ongoing process and product improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong skills in market research and product management to identify new opportunities, understand customer needs, and support all phases of the product lifecycle.
- Analytical capabilities to interpret test data, evaluate product performance, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across multiple departments, preparing clear documentation, and providing progress updates.
- Basic research and development aptitude to assist in formulation efforts, laboratory testing, and product optimization activities.
- Educational background in food science, nutrition, chemistry, biology, or related disciplines is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with quality and safety standards like GMP or HACCP in the food or nutraceutical manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and eagerness to learn in a fast-moving production setting are important.
- Comfort with using standard office software and working with technical documents and data spreadsheets is preferred.
