Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Junior IT Coordinator to assist with the everyday IT functions within our organization. The appointed individual will manage first-tier technical support and upkeep of IT hardware and software, aid in network management and user administration, and facilitate the seamless provision of IT services throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first-level support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Install, set up, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT devices.
- Configure new user workstations, accounts, emails, and system accesses.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Monitor IT infrastructure to guarantee system uptime and reliability.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers for IT maintenance and assistance.
- Carry out software installations, updates, and security patch management.
- Maintain detailed logs of IT assets, software licenses, and inventories.
- Support data backup and recovery processes to protect information.
- Contribute to IT project execution and enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies and cybersecurity protocols.
- Record support requests and their resolutions using IT ticketing platforms.
- Assist with meeting room technology, video conferencing systems, and office IT tools.
- Perform additional IT-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar disciplines.
- Experience ranging from 1 to 3 years in IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Coordination roles.
- Fresh graduates with pertinent internship exposure may be considered for entry-level roles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft 365 / Office 365 environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience supporting LAN/WAN architectures and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Expertise in managing printers, peripherals, and remote desktop support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and endpoint security solutions.
- Competence in IT asset management and usage of IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, or Zendesk.
