About the Role
Join AJ Bell Asset Management as a Junior Investment Analyst, contributing to the expansion and success of our Investments team by supporting the development, governance, and ongoing delivery of our managed portfolio solutions. This role provides the chance to be actively involved in designing, building, monitoring, and maintaining discretionary managed and model portfolios that drive investment outcomes, support product innovation, and facilitate business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the upkeep and oversight of AJ Bell partnership managed portfolios focusing on product governance, monitoring, and strategic and tactical asset allocation implementation.
- Collaborate with the Research team to develop suitable portfolio implementation strategies.
- Generate investment management management information (MI) and provide reporting at departmental committees, including attendance when relevant.
- Prepare regular investor literature on monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc schedules.
- Ensure portfolio implementation complies with trading guidelines and considers other relevant factors.
- Engage cross-functionally to promote portfolio updates, supporting growth for AJ Bell Investments and the broader business.
- Contribute to maintaining the business’s regulatory compliance, including adherence to consumer duty requirements.
Required Competencies, Knowledge and Skills
- A degree, ideally in a quantitative field, with plans to pursue further related qualifications over time.
- Proficiency in utilizing artificial intelligence tools.
- Understanding of Mean Variance Optimization principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Advanced skills in report writing and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines consistently.
