About the Role
We are a progressive boutique law firm located in South West Sydney seeking a motivated Junior Lawyer with 1 to 3 years of post-admission experience (PAE) to handle both criminal and family law cases. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with senior practitioners on a varied caseload, offering practical exposure, client engagement, and ownership of files under suitable guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and assist with diverse criminal and family law matters.
- Attend court appearances appropriate to your experience and assist in preparing for advocacy.
- Draft legal documents, correspondences, and court submissions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, counsel, and other external parties.
- Maintain thorough and accurate file records, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 1 and 3 years of post-admission experience specializing in criminal and/or family law.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Energetic and proactive, able to excel in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Capable of working both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
- A sincere passion for criminal and family law.
